Bonjour Paris! by Bawean Bakery

Bawean Bonjour Paris

Every city has that one bakery people have been going since a loooong time ago. In this case, Bandung has Bawean Bakery.

It was first established in 1946 and was called “Sweet Heart”. What a name…. But then, as soon as they moved to Jalan Bawean 4, they changed the name to “Bawean Bakery”, in line with its location. Now that’s better!  Continue reading

The Harvest Cakes

The Harvest Bandung

Everyone has that favorite comfort food – the one that makes them feel better (and happier) after having a rough terrible day. A dish they have been craving for weeks and can’t stand another without having some.

For me, it’s always been cake. And frankly speaking, any kind of cakes will do. But of course I have several preferences just like the others. Rule number one, cheesecake will always be on top of my list. It’s like my all time favorite cake. Continue reading

Hakata Ikkousha, Bandung

Soyu TamTam Ramen

If there’s one food I can never be bored about, it would be Ramen! (And dim sum too, and uhm, can I have pasta on my list as well?). So anyway, when I heard that Hakata Ikkousha, the famous Ramen chain restaurant from Japan, opened their first branch in Bandung, I went nuts.

Well, it has actually been here early on this year. It’s just me who haven’t got a chance to visit the stall myself. So you can imagine how happy I am right now that finally, several days ago, I went there! And even better, I got great companies, the #bandungfoodies friends! Continue reading

Baking Cake at Kijang Mas Culinary Class (KMCC)

Black Forest Recipe

If you read my blog post last year, you might have already noticed that I was somehow obsessed with baking. (But just too lazy to do it lately). To be honest, my obsession only last for quite some time. Now I’m too excited to be back to the kitchen! And even better, this time, I got a really fancy working station with all the appliances and utensils just for myself. Just so you know, I don’t even have an electric mixer back at home, huft. So can you imagine how excited I am to be a part of the cooking class?

I was lucky enough to be invited by Kijang Mas together with the other bloggers to attend their basic pastry class that day. And I was surprised that each of us got our own pantry table! And what makes this session even more interesting is that each of us will compete against each other to make the best cake!  Continue reading

Camp on Dago Dairy Farm (by Agritektur)

Dago Dairy Bandung

It was an unusual Saturday morning for me. I woke up early at 6, took a quick shower, brewed my coffee, and off I went to Agritektur office at Jl. Mataram, Bandung. I’ve been waiting for that particular day for sooo long. Yes, it’s the ‘CAMP ON FARM’ day!

As you can guess from the name of the event, we were having a camp at Dago Dairy Farm that day. It’s a lovely local farm at the north side of Bandung, in Buniwangi Wetan area.

Friday Night Seafood Buffet at Padma Hotel Bandung

Dessert Padma Hotel

Bandung is one of the most stunning and unique city in Indonesia. I fell in love with the panoramic views of the mountains this city has to offer the moment I moved here. Not to mention the fresh air and the cool breeze! Many even said Bandung shares the similar atmosphere with European cities. You know, there are many luxurious hotels, restaurants, and cafe were opened. PLUS the old buildings here were designed by Dutch architects during the Dutch colonization. Hence, Bandung is known as Parijs van Java (the Paris of Java).

One of my favorite activity here in Bandung is dining at a place which offers great ambiance and view, and the most important thing, GREAT FOOD! It’s a good thing that The Restaurant at Padma Hotel offers both. Continue reading

Where To Eat in Bandung (Part 1)

tizi's

Now, let’s talk about everyone’s favorite topic : FOOD!

This post is gonna be a little bit longer that usual since this one is a compilation post about some of my favorite places to eat in Bandung. You know, I’m to lazy to write an individual post for each restaurant review, that’s why I wrote this one. The good thing is, there will be more compilation post to come!

The post itself will mostly describes about what I like and what I don’t really like about the restaurant – if there’s any. And please note that this opinion of mine is very subjective. It really depends on my mood that day, and the service that day. You know, it all can just change anytime.

Okay! So, this time, I’m gonna feature some of the well known Restaurant and Cafe in Bandung, which are not exactly cheap in pricing, but I found these places to be very cozy and kinda fancy for a romantic dinner and surely not a place you want to miss in Bandung. Who’s got a date anyway? Continue reading
